There is so much going on at Partners, as we get ready for the recital on April 13. But I am so excited to share some BIG news about Partners Dance Studio. Yesterday my husband and I closed on a different location for the studio. It will be Partners last year at 107 E James St. The new location will be at 136 W James St, previously Rahn's Appliance.
Partners current location will always been special to me…I grew up in that studio, it was where I bought Partners business, and there are so many great memories! With that being said, it's time for a change and many needed updates. Partners' new location will have two closed studio spaces with professional Marley dance floors. One studio will have a viewing window and the other will have a video circuit in the lounge room. There will be a large entry/lounge space and two bathrooms. And yes it will have air conditioning:)
The goal is to start dance camps in June at the new studio location. We are doing major renovations, so I have learned to be very flexible in this expectation.
The next greatest news for Partners is the new assistant director, Sabrina Castillo. She will be running the second studio space at the new location. Sabrina is a Partners Dance Studio alumni. She graduated in December from Kansas University in Business and Dance. I feel so blessed to have Sabrina as a Partner. Sabrina will be assisting me in the classes the remaining of this year, so dancers and families can get to know her.
Thank you for the continued support. Partners' success has so much to do with those amazing dancers. I can't wait for what the new place will hold…adult classes, more class options, and so much more. If you have any question, please ask! I am always available at the studio or email/messenger.
My name is Sabrina Castillo and I am so excited to be teaching at Partners. I started taking classes at Partners when I was 3 and haven’t stopped dancing since. When I was in high school, I realized dancing is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I went to The University of Kansas and graduated in December 2018 with a bachelors in Business Administration and a minor in Dance. At Partners, I began student teaching in middle school, and after high school I assisted Genese with summer camps when I was home from college.
You also may recognize me from helping backstage during the recitals over the past 3 years. I am honored to be working with all the dancers and thrilled to see what the future has for Partners Dance Studio. I look forward to meeting all the dancers!
